BETA NU CHAPTER AT MURRAY STATE UNIVERSITY
Who We Are
Beta Nu was founded on Murray State's campus in Murray, KY on May 18th, 1946. Our national organization was founded in 1901 with the goal of creating women of poise and purpose and to assist our members in fostering lifelong friendships. We strive to follow our sorority's open motto of "Aspire, Seek, Attain."
Our Aims
Alpha Sigma Alpha promotes high ideals and standards for its members throughout their lives by emphasizing balance among our four aims of intellectual, physical, social and spiritual development. The women of Beta Nu are involved in over 50 campus and community organizations encompassing all four aims.
What We Do
Alpha Sigma Alpha's national service and giving projects are Special Olympics, Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation, S. June Smith Center, and Girls on the Run (GOTR). Locally, Beta Nu also supports the Toys for Tots program and many more philanthropies for Murray State organizations.
Formal Recruitment
Formal recruitment provides the opportunity to meet all seven sororities over four days, followed by Bid Day.
Registration for Fall 2025 Formal Recruitment will begin April 1st, 2025.

Hello and welcome to the Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha at Murray State University.
Alpha Sigma Alpha is an organization that provides the perfect home away from home for women who are looking for a true sisterhood. Our members
are more than just sorority sisters, they are lifelong friends. We strive to
grow as woman of poise and purose, live our ritual and give back to our campus community. The love of sisters is never-ending.
Beta Nu is involved in over 50 organizations on campus and holds many leadership positions. We strive to live up to our open motto of, "You Be You and I'll Be Me."
